On the fence about whether or not you should hire a professional landscape lighting specialist company to install a custom lighting system at your home or business? Here are five reasons why you should go ahead and hire a specialty company…
Value –Time is something we can never recover. Your time is extremely valuable. Need a dollar value? Just calculate how much you make per hour, and multiply it by the amount of time it will take to hand hold this project to see it through to successful completion. Chances are it’s much less expensive to hire a professional landscape lighting company, than to use your landscaper, electrician or any general non specific trade that do not have the experience with landscape lighting on a daily basis.
Reduce stress – Worrying about whether work is going to be completed to your satisfaction at your home or not can send your stress level through the roof. Think about it. You put in a full day at work, then you come home and there’s even more work to be done (making phone calls and e-mails trying to find out why things don’t look like you’d like and when they will get that way). An unfinished project just becomes a big item on your to do list, that never seems to get done and looms over your head. Having work done on your property is stressful as you never know how things are going to turn out. Chances are much better that you will get what you want by hiring a properly vetted professional specialist most suited to your individual and special requirements and those of the site.
Efficiency – Just like any other job, the more experience you have, the better you are at it. When you hire a specialty company, you get a professional staff that knows how to work efficiently to get a job done right. They don’t cut corners, but they know how to manage their workflow so that they finish in a reasonable amount of time, without sacrificing quality. They are also up to date with the latest and greatest products and installation techniques. Since outdoor lighting gets 100% of their attention they are not getting sidetracked with other issues.
Status – Believe it or not, people actually brag about retaining a specialized landscape lighting company. Sure it’s not like having a Ferrari car collection, but people have a perception that hiring a landscape lighting specialty company is expensive. That may be true for some but wait until you see how expensive it is to hire the wrong company and have to do the project over with someone else.
Flexibility – Unlike general trades, better landscape lighting companies maintain at the very least a minimum amount of stock usually enough to complete a small to medium sized job on short notice. As long as the schedule permits, most specialty companies will accommodate you for those last minute pre-holiday or party projects. You know what I’m talking about. Those are the times when you are so busy with day to day living that the thought of lighting for your event usually isn’t at top of mind awareness until shortly before that event.
Whatever the situation, specialist companies are almost always preferred over jack of all trade generalists when the best results are desired.
