The Gambino Landscape Lighting System Costs more to Build Which Provides For A Far Greater Overall Value

When it comes to your landscape lighting, we feel superior fixtures, transformers and LED’s for brilliant color rendition and effective quality and clarity is imperative. Simple is not the defining factor. We are concerned about making sure that your system performs and is trouble free without downtime and hassle for your long term safety, convenience and enjoyment.

The Gambino landscape Lighting System focuses on just that, keeping your outdoor lighting functioning in a very high performance capacity. We also want it to be easier to maintain in the long run, because we know, most of our customers won’t want to do it and will rely upon us. That’s ok, we get it, we don’t like to work harder than we need to either. Just the same the easier we can build a system to maintain, the less time and labor we will need to spend to maintain them with the less cost to the client which makes them happy and that is our main concern.

That’s why we’ve designed products to be easier to clean and change out lamps.

I have had people ask why a Gambino Landscape Lighting systems seems more difficult and expensive to install than the lighting offered on the market. It is true; it is not the easiest system to build. This system was designed for HIGH PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY with no corners cut by complete perfectionists who take pride in their work, to keep your system as healthy as possible in an often uncontrollable environment, the great outdoors.

So, like most quality projects, there are some up front dues that must be paid for the long term goal, a HIGH PERFORMANCE LANDSCAPE LIGHTING SYSTEM that is DESIGNED AND BUILT TO LAST. Those are not just words of a tagline slogan but that is our CULTURE as a company. The initial extra cost of installation, is well worth the assurance of system longevity and reduction in maintenance for YEARS down the line.

Yes, it is more difficult and costly to build because we are more concerned with long term ease of use, than initial ease of installation. After all, you should install once, but you will have to maintain for the life of your system. With a Gambino landscape Lighting System that part is easier.

While a Gambino landscape lighting system is far more complex and definitely more complicated and costly to install, owners of our systems realize the benefits far outweigh the initial costs. In fact we believe that we have the highest level of overall owner satisfaction in the industry.

Most competitors use products and installation techniques that although initially save time and money up front end up costing system owners endless trouble, downtime, frustration and cost to not only maintain and repair and in addition lack in regards to aesthetic appearance and performance.

Every Gambino Landscape Lighting system is individually designed with the property owners needs, likes and dislikes in mind with the end result to enhance the level of client safety, security, aesthetics and usability while showcasing the property in the best light so to speak at night.

In the past, for years we were unsatisfied with products available to the professional designer builder which in essence are the same products available to any do it yourselfer property owner. They are primarily made so they will need to be replaced with the lowest cost in mind so they will sell, with materials that don’t keep moisture away from the LED which is crucial and do not hold up to the rigors of the outdoor environment. Frustrated by hearing from manufacturers and product sellers-“That’s the first we are hearing of that problem” and never acknowledging or fixing problems, we took action and developed our own complete product line over the past 15 years. Unlike others who claim to make their own products and actually make slight alteration to commercially produced or offshore generic products or no alterations made at all, and just slap their logo on them and claim them for their own.

In contrast to low industry standards, all of our products are PROPRIETARY and have been painstakingly designed by myself, Mike Gambino, who has been designing and installing landscape lighting systems on the job everyday nonstop for nearly 30 years and know what works and what doesn’t. We buy components from quality foundries and do most all of the assembly in house in the USA with our own employees who do the actual system installation on our clients properties for complete quality control. We also install all moisture seals, pour potting materials and apply silicone sealants where needed to keep moisture out. This is something we take great care in doing.

In all honesty we have had some failures in the past but unlike most in this industry instead of denying responsibility took action to immediately, make good on said failures and made alterations , tweaks and changes to products and procedures to ensure those failures did not continue. Today I can honestly say our products are the best value in regards to material and build quality available anywhere.

System construction is also an area where we are the leader and have created our own higher standards. While the rest are saving labor by laying power cable on the ground, throwing mulch on top or superficially scratching lighting cable in the ground (which usually becomes exposed and susceptible to damage over time). We actually carefully dig the ground to appropriate depth wherever possible while avoiding damage to roots and existing plants and place power cable inside of protective rigid grey PVC electrical conduit to hide and protect it from damage by rodents or subsequent digging. All fixtures in general vicinity of one another or controlled together are served by a dedicated power cable which come from its power source, is installed in its own separate conduit and terminates inside of a fully accessible hub or junction box. All hubs (junction boxes) are linked together in the system and go directly back to the power source (Low voltage transformer or driver). This makes for ease and lower costs of system maintenance, future repairs if needed and future system alteration or additions. All connections are heavy duty brass lugs covered by marine grade heat shrink material which protects them from being loosened or disconnected by soil movement overtime. Loose connections can lead to system trouble, downtime and owner frustration as they create heat, can be dangerous by way of a potential fire hazard, can be difficult to troubleshoot and expensive to repair.

So, hopefully that helps you to understand how a Gambino Landscape Lighting system works, why we design and build the way we do, and why, though it is a little more complicated to install, it sets you up for a lifetime of easier maintenance, high system performance with greater usability, safety and security.
