We get two to three calls or emails per week about dysfunctional landscape lighting systems that folks want us to just patch up or repair and quite honestly speaking asking us to “clean up someone else’s mess”. Maybe they bought a home that came with a problematic landscape lighting set up. Or maybe the people who built it for them went out of business, or is just no longer returning phone calls. There are even many companies out there that will install landscape lighting, but are not willing to service what they build — shocking, but very sadly true.
We will not work on most all of these. Why not? Well, there are a multitude of reasons, pretty much as many reasons as some believe there are ways to build a “Quality” landscape lighting system. For one, we can’t possibly be in so many places at once to work on every single one of them. We have thousands of our own clients who have invested in our system and they must come first. Our whole business model is built around efficiency and our trucks cannot carry every single lighting part ever made so that we’re prepared for every possible part replacement. It’s just not feasible.
For 30 years, Gambino Landscape Lighting has specialized in designing and installing high quality, high performing low energy (voltage) efficient lighting systems built specifically for the tough outdoor environment that stand the test of time and that last. Landscape Lighting systems that are not ours, that do not meet even our minimal standards, with features that do not fall within these parameters of what our company mission statement stands for, are referred out to colleagues who work on those types of set ups.
Being specialists has allowed our construction crew and service team to be the very best at what we do. And, not to toot our own horn too much, but we’re in pretty high demand and it doesn’t make sense to distract our employees with issues that another company is better equipped to solve.
